Marriage Certificate
In online service we provide service of marriage registration. We all know that the registration of marriage is compulsory for all everyone in India. There are two kinds Marriage Acts: the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 and Special Marriage Act, 1954. The Hindu Marriage Act is applicable only to the Hindus, whereas the Special Marriage Act is applicable to all citizens of India.

Requirements of Hindu Marriage Act (HMA) according to section 5 of HMA

  • Minimum age limit is 21 for boy and 18 for girl.
  • Parties must be Hindu, unmarried or divorced, and if already married then at the time of marriage his/her spouse should not be alive.
  • Both parties must be physically and mentally healthy.
  • Parties must not be come in SAPINDA and PROHIBITED DEGREE.
  • Affidavits from both prospective husband and wife
 

Under Hindu Marriage Act

Documents and Information we need:

  • Identity proof of both parties.(AADHAR CARD or Acknowledgement of AADHAR CARD/ Voter Card/ Passport )
  • Age Proof of both parties (i.e. Birth Certificate of MCD or 10th Marks Sheet)
  • Place where the marriage was solemnized.
  • Duration of residence at given addresses.
  • Proof of marriage under Hindu Marriage Act (I.e. Marriage Card and Arya Samaj Certificate)

Thereafter, having completed of all above said formalities both parties will appear before the Registrar along with at least two witnesses. One witness must be a Gazetted officer or PAN Card Holder. The marriage would be registered within one month from the date of marriage.

 

Under the Special Marriage Act:
Requirements of Special Marriage Act 1954
